This lovely park in downtown Palmetto is the site of Palmetto’s first Post Office, a classic Carnegie Library, the Manatee County Agricultural Hall of Fame and a wedding chapel. Traditional festivals and events include a 4th of July celebration, the Manatee County Fair, the De Soto Children's Parade, an annual parade in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Kid's Catch and Release Fishing Tournament and a Multi-Cultural Festival.
